spyware call ALEXA

i,m told it's built right into microsoft software.
i run adaware to get rid of it and then have to clear registry and repair IE but as soon as you go to pelican or anywhere on internet it comes right back .really slows down everything.
anyone have this problem or now how to permantly block it .
i've done searches on it but most say it can't be done .
Thanks
Bruce

I've heard that having system restore turned on can thwart certain spyware/virus/trojan/worm removal because a copy gets into the restore and then gets reinstalled from there. Certain things require you to turn off system restore before you remove them.

been there done that ,still comes right back
i don't get the toolbar but i can tell as soon as it's come back because my pc,s performance drops off.
i need something that can permantly block it but from what i've read on the internet it is acctually built in to microsofts os and can't be removed.

You say it keeps coming back, but I'm betting it never left.

Try Spybot and Ad-aware SE. Be sure to update each before usage.

terry read my original post
spybot does't find it but adaware does and removes it .it also effects your activex so you have to fix that and then run ie repair .
but after you do all that it comes back when you go on the internet. if you run adaware, then windoctor, then ie repair ,then registry optimizer it stays away a little longer but allways comes back .it has a trigger that i can't figure out . what i need is an alexa blocker

What happens is some of these spyware programs trick windows into THINKING that the spyware is a critical system file... So if you remove it, windows puts it right back. Turn off auto-restore. Clear it.
