Should I buy this 917

I can't believe these can be had at such an incredible price.

That's simply hilarious. He actually refers to it as a Porsche 917 in the description. It's like walking down the street with a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Brad Pitt in front of you and trying to convince people that you are him.

Ever notice the guys with the fake Porsches have the most Porsche emblems on their cars and cloths???

I would jump on it, but I think that you'll need to go to a parallel universe to do it. The whole ad, car, and questions from other ebayers is pretty weird.

I love replica cars that only vaguely resemble the cars they are "supposed" to be. The huge Porsche emblem screams "I'm a fake and I have a small member"!

"Behind the seats is a small storage area large enough for a small dog..."

Yep.

The funny thing is that you can get into a real Porsche a lot less than building these fakes...

I dare you to buy that.

Porsche-O-Phile 03-03-2007 06:40 PM

I double dog dare you. :p

the dreaded triple dog dare!

After the piece first went out, many American subscribers mentioned the film, A Christmas Story, which was based on the reminiscences of Jean Shepherd about his childhood in the 1930s. Henry Willis summarised the incident in which the expression appears: “At one point in the film one of his friends dares another friend, named Flick, to stick his tongue on the flagpole in front of the school on a snowy winter day. The kid who has been dared shows normal innate common sense until his friend ups the ante by double-daring then double-dog-daring him. At which point the movie’s narrator comments: ‘Now it was serious. A double-dog-dare. What else was there but a “triple dare ya”? And then, the coup de grace of all dares, the sinister triple-dog-dare’. At that point, of course, Flick has no choice but to accept the challenge with the predictably disastrous results”.
