One of the reasons I want to dis-associate myself with the party.

Coulter's schtick is to take a mirror image of the most offensive things on the left, and to say them on the right. She is trying to point out how ridiculous it is that the left can say some pretty extremist things without any fuss whatsoever, but if someone on the right says something similar...watch what happens.

nostatic 03-04-2007 08:25 AM

wow. Class act.

Jim Richards 03-04-2007 08:34 AM

(drag) queen of skank.

BTW, nice job with her defense, legion.

techweenie 03-04-2007 08:38 AM

She tried this a few months ago, claiming Bill Clinton was gay. Didn't get the effect she wanted, but I guess she'll keep trying until it does. She's getting herself a smaller and smaller platform, so she'll have to try to be ever more outrageous.

Oh, I think that you just did a better job of defending her.

..that is, you can call her a drag queen, yet have a problem when she calls pretty-boy edwards a ******. ....hmmmm, where's that Edwards video...?

nostatic 03-04-2007 08:46 AM

let's see....Jim is some yahoo (no offense) on PPOT, Coulter is on a national media stage.

Yeah, there's some equivalence there...

But like Island, I don't think that Coulter actually believes what she says. She just likes to whip the masses into a frenzy on both sides. I mean no one is that mean and moronic, are they?

oh, with that last part I was only talking about Coulter, not Island ;)

legion 03-04-2007 08:54 AM

You're almost there Todd. Coulter uses hyperbole for illustrative purposes. What she is saying is almost inconsequential to the argument she it making.

She takes most of the rhetoric used on the left by the likes of J. Jackson and creates an equally offensive "conservative" mirror image. The only difference is that J. Jackson gets a free pass and Coulter gets universal condemnation. This is what she is very intentionally trying to highlight.

So you think Anne is NOT a yahoo?

Anyway, point being, the anti-republicans are habitual in throwing turds . . .and when a R-pundit throws turds you all become freaking Puritans. ...and point . .. and gasp....

oh . . . the out . . .rage ...

I don't think that is the case here, but you're welcome to your fantasies...

Jim Richards 03-04-2007 08:58 AM

Nice catch, island. ;)

BTW, I am a yahoo. Why do you think I hang out here? :D

fintstone 03-04-2007 09:00 AM

I thought it was pretty funny. The left is so hypocritical. They outed Cheney's daughter and have hounded him mercilessly about her. They have trashed Coulter continuously and many of left blogs, and dozens on this board claim she is really a man and call her "man Coulter" and get their jollies at her expense...then she implies that Edwards acts/looks effeminate...which he does...and she is trashed again. You guys living in the glass houses should not be throwing stones. As always...It really doesn't matter what she says or does...the left will continue to come after her. Because she is effective...and almost as pretty as Edwards.

nostatic 03-04-2007 09:00 AM

I'm not a yahoo, but I have drank yahoo in the company of strangers. I categorically deny spilling my yahoo on that young girl.

I don't buy it. J.J. gets no free pass with the middle or the right. Most people I know think he's a worthless sack of _ _ _ _. The left are worried about everyone's feelings while the right are a bunch of little whiners ("It's not fair!"). Let's grow up and marginalize both extremes.

I still think A.C. is total skank. :D

You are so right. I remember this one time when Jackson referred to NYC as "hymie-town" and there wasn't even a peep of outrage. No, wait a minute....

WTF universe do you people live in? I mean, how far from reality do you need to get before defending Anne Coulter starts making sense?

I remember that incident and there was a lot of outrage. So much for giving the left a free pass. :D :D :D

nostatic 03-04-2007 09:08 AM

the left gets away with EVERYTHING and the right gets ***** for NOTHING.

Come on Jim...get with the program. That's the reality of our world. Just sit down and have a Yahoo! It's on me. Well, not on me. And stop looking at my blue dress...
