Please forgive the lack of context, I felt it had no bearing on my question.

I am not calling gulf911 wrong or even challenging his statement I'm just asking why?

My opinion and the way I live is:
Never whisper in the dark what you are afraid to say in the light. Someone may have a flashlight.

I generally admire people that are willing to shine light on an uncomfortable situation.

Normally I would agree. It is not cool to post a PM (hence: private message)...however, in this particular case, one person has spread rumors about the other here for years via pm...to the detriment of the other's business. As far as I can tell, the rumors were untrue and needed to be brought to light to allow the man to defend his reputation and business.
