Play the Lottery?

I play Mega Millions when the pot is large. The wife plays the local lotto at work weekly. How about you?

I rarely play. Only when things get big, like tonight. $20.- in tickets for me.

Why only go when it's big, wouldn't $10-$20+mil great? :-)

Yup, I put down $5.00.

Put $1 on it from time to time. No reason to play more... after all, if you are lucky then all it takes is $1 to win.

I play when it's big, 3 numbers + mega ball looks like I won $150.

I figure the odds of me winning without a ticket are about the same as with one.

We've had a group at work playing for the last couple weeks at $5 a head. I think it's a total waste of money(175,000,000:1), but I'll be damned if I'm the only one left working here so I always join

hey, for you guys that only play when the pot gets large, like 370 million:

why didnt you play when the pot was 40 million ? wasnt that enough money for you? do you think your chances of winning is better with a larger pot?
