A nice pair!

I finally found an SKB single barrel trap to match my 200E double. I think they make a nice pair. The 20 ga. is next!

And I thought this thread would be about the Pink Floyd album. (I have it on vinyl...)

Tim Hancock 03-08-2007 06:46 AM

Beautiful, but I must admit that I don't know much about various brands of doubles. Are "SKB's" rare or expensive?

targa911S 03-08-2007 06:56 AM

SKB is a Japanese manufacturer. They make a very high quality, mid priced to high priced gun. The barrels are hammer forged and chrome lined. Not rare, but very under rated, they make a very nice gun that is not out there by the millions. These two would be considered top of the line for their use. Good looking, well made, dependable, shoot the hell out of them guns.

Very nice! I'm jealous, I haven't been able to go shooting much recently, as I have been home taking care of my new daughter.
Enjoy those, they should last FOREVER!!

Hey Nick, thanks for the comps. You know SKB's. Been too cold and snowy here to go shoot too. Can't wait tilll the weather breaks. Enjoy that little gal....they grow up WAY too fast!

thegeck 03-08-2007 07:20 AM

Those look like they're in great condition. any more info on them? I've been looking for some guns, just to shoot with friends.. any suggestions? Preferably rifles.

p.s. tell me when you're selling those..

VincentVega 03-08-2007 07:28 AM

Very nice piece

SKB makes a descent shotgun. We shot a lot of them over in Europe at the military rod and gun club and were very happy with them.

Finish looks nice on that pair.

Oh I don't think I will be selling them any time soon. I am looking to get the 20 ga. and hopefully a .410 if they made it. I most likely will be selling a couple of Lefever Nitro specials, and maybe one of my Ithaca NID's to finance it. Niether of these guns are being made anymore. I have been looking for the trap gun for about a year. The 200E double is my shooter/hunter. I love the double, as it is perfect for me.

As far as rifles? There are many rifle guys on this board who can offer a lot better advice on that than I. I'm the shotgun guy.

Those are really nice. I still kick myself for selling my 20g Ithaca/SKB 100E. They are really nice guns. Are you selling any nice nitros in 20g?

targa911S 03-08-2007 08:06 AM

Hey Craig. The nitros are 12's. I have an Ithaca NID in 16, and an N.R Davis in 20 that will go though. The Davis is very nice. Here is a pic.

The SKB's are very nice. Nice Purchase.
What maker of 20Gauge are you looking at?

There is an SKB 20ga. ($1,600.00) that matches the other two I have already. It's officially a 200E, but it has an English stock instead of a pistol grip. Actually there is a 3 barrel set of 20, 28, and 410 ga barrels that all fit on the one frame. I'm sure it is pricey though and rare. I know there is no 16 ga. in the series. I think it would be a nice brace of long guns.

goat 03-08-2007 11:02 AM

Just did a search on the 200E. Very close in looks Very nice.

Oh yeah. The double above is a 12 ga. 200E. The trap is called the Century and it was made for Ithaca actually, but it matches the rest of the 200E line.

Seahawk 03-08-2007 12:39 PM

A nice pair...and they're real.

Your gun/shotgun posts are terrific...I admire your craftsmanship from other threads.

Must not open SKB link!

targa911S 03-08-2007 01:28 PM

Awe go on...it's just a little link.....

Thanks for the comps.

I bought a Steoger .410 for myself (xmas gift) and love it. Your bar for qualtiy is higher than mine, but for the money I paid, you can't beat the learning curve.

Steoger is made by Vusan in Turkey, both Vusan and Steoger are owned by Beretta/Benelli.

Had some folks over last week, we put about 200 rounds out. Flawless.
