Goodbye Buba
Just put my dog Buba down. 14 years old, really nice and loving chow.... his hips gave out this weekend and he was no longer able to stand up by himself... He's buried out back under an old oak, next to his brother Bear.

Sorry to hear.
Not much worse than losing a pet.

Very sorry...we're still hurting from having to put our old girl down over X-mas.
Dogs are better people than most people I know.

That sucks. My parents part chow went the same way. What a great dog he was.
It sounds like he was well loved so I'm sure he had a great life.

Sorry to hear that.
We're still reeling here from finding one of our older dogs had had a heart attack and slipped away last Tuesday AM. As much as that shock was, it is nothing to the anguish you feel when you have to come to the decision of 'what's best for the dog'. My sympathies. Les

My condolences on your loss.
We put down one of our danes months ago for similar reasons. I still expect to see him around the next corner.

Are you going to get another dog right away? I have a 14 year old medium sized dog, a 9 year old big dog, and a 3 year old medium sized dog. Point being the 2 older dogs probably don't have much left.
Any consensus from those who have been there as to what to do? Feel for you, man==I'm not looking forward to losing my oldest friend.
