Libby's "crime" occurred after the investigation began, to give Fitzgerald something to "justify" the crusade he kept chasing when he knew the second day of the "investigation" that it was Armitage.

This thing is so politicized. The defense was inept the prosecution was a political veil to cast a shadow over the administration. This case was supposed to be about a CIA agent.

1) Libby did not leak the info. Prosecutor knew this and pursued Libby anyway with nothing on him.

2) The agent was not covert so outing was not a crime anyway. The prosecutor knew this.

3) The agent's husband, unqualified, went on a yellow cake hunting expedition to discredit the administration. The republicans said, "Hey who is this moron." While attacking his allegations the DEMS decide to attack the defenders.

This has "overturn" all over it, and "desperation" by the DEMS written all over it.

Hey, When you can't win in the world of ideas just start throwing mud.

Is there nothing the Bush'ists will not do to tarnish America?

No, there's pretty much no limit.

Actually slopat, they are in prison for the failure to report firing their weapons, not for shooting the illegal alien drug smuggler in the ass. Is there nothing bad that happens in the world that is a conspiracy fomented by the current administration? Apparently not in slopatworld.

The blame for the BP Agent getting attacked in prison lies with the warden of the prison where it happened. If the man was going to be in a federal prison, he should have been in protective custody. That is usually standard operating procedure, and as I understand it, was the written policy of the facility in question. That Darn W made them flaunt their own rulebook.

Riddle me this, if a sitting POTUS gets no punishment for perjury, and Sandy Burglar gets nothing for lying about a felony, how is it that Libby gets 25 years for not remembering where he first heard some former ambassador's ho worked for the CIA?

Never mind, rhetorical question.
