I believe this. I think our War on Terrorism is being fought very poorly and I would not have attacked Iraq in the first place. But the other thing I notice is that these chest-pounding tough-talkers are not handling the military properly. Cheney is no idiot, but Dubya is. Cheney has probably read Sun Tsu and simply has an agenda other than protecting America. Dubya needs to read General Tsu's book. Particularly the part where the King orders his General to teach his concubines to march in formation.

But I also think Cheney's remark is interesting. "....until our enemy is destroyed." I guess that's the answer to the question I have been asking. Our goal is to exterminate the terrorists. Good luck with that. We can't even exterminate cockroaches.

Mike, Very true. But the way the media beats the drum when anyone is killed, do you think the American people have the stomach for WWII type causalties, on both sides? Do you think the world press would treat us fairly if we do all that is necessary?

If over 3000 dead in a single day of terrorism doesn't wake up the country and the world, I think it is going to take a whole city before we really get going.

Red, 300 dead in one day is about as big an attention-getter as there could be. We're awake. We're paying attention.

.......and we don't believe we can kill all the terrorists no matter how many daily dead we are willing to create. Cheney doesn't believe it either. But his pretending has many people believing. Like you.

Yeah, America is prepared to bite down and go to war if necessary. Not this war, though. This one is a loser.

The American people would support any war that kills more terrorists than it creates. Maybe we should find one of those.
