This reminds me of a true story that makes a good joke. I had an anthropolgy prof who told us about his friend in Mexico. He asked some old guys, in broken Spanish, how he could hail a taxi. But he used a dirty slang term for 'hail'. The old men looked at each other, puzzled. Finally, one said, "You can try the exhaust pipe." True story.

this reminds me of a mob joke; [told in a baahhhstin accent] : a mob boss tells his underling to go blow up some guy's car because he was a week late paying up. the underling goes off to do the deed, and comes back 1 hour later with horribly scorched lips. 'What happened?" asked the boss.
