Earthquake Shakes Up Northeast Ohio
Not to be outdone by the folks on the West Coast, we had a 3.6 earthquake in NE Ohio this evening. We were just getting ready to sit down for dinner when we heard a loud boom and felt the house shake. We had no idea what it was until we saw a news flash. Maybe I should add an earthquake endorsement to my homeowners policy?

Hey Doug,
Obviously, we heard & felt it too. I thought for sure there had been a large explosion -- it was VERY loud. It sounded like it was in my house. I immediately went out of my house expecting to see smoke somewhere & all of my neighbors up & down the street were outside trying to figure out what happened. I had no idea it was an earthquake until, like you, I saw something on the news. You are in the insurance business...Isn't earthquake covered by homeowners insurance? I used to know the answer to that -- I was in the insurance business many years ago. See you soon. It is almost time to get the cars out! We just need some good rain to cleanse the roads of the evil salt.

Doug- You can add the endorsement to most policies. Check with your agent. I may seriously consider it now.
Stop over and check out the new trunk carpet I just put in. It is very nice. I need to get an alignment before I hit the road as I lowered my car after putting on the new wheels. We are probabaly one of a small minority who are hoping for some rain.

Seems like the earth is moving for us down here too
![]() I was working from home last Thursday (8 March). About 1.30pm or so the rumble started; like a roar really. Then the ground shook for a few seconds. Thought to myself "earth tremor" and kept working. Heard later it measured 3.7 and it was pretty widespread. Silly thing - the 14 week old puppy didn't even murmur - too busy getting her beauty sleep! |
