Subcontractors of subcontractors of private companies
Remember my right-wing friends, it is always best if someone can do it cheaper.
![]() I was wondering what this guy was doing until his Comcast buddy rolled by and asked "how you doin'". My call to the local police was too late. "Ugg, this thing is heavy" ![]() "This should do it" ![]() "Ooppsie daisy" (dent and 2 foot long scratch. He didn't leave a note but I did) ![]()

Good that you did. I hate it when people have no morals or show no responsibility in life.

Why did you call the police? I see lot of trucks that have a magnet on the side that says "subcontractor for Comcast"...not sure what the issue is here, aside from the "safety" of that rigging.

What are you two talking about? Been smoking funny cigarettes again?
If that was your 911 sitting down there, with a dent and several scratches in it bet you would feel different. Come back home and find a dent and such and no name or phone number and I would be pissed. "Poor guy and just trying to feed his family." Pure BS, and I could care less, he damaged someone else;s property then took off trying to hide from the fact, and now needs to pay for the damages, period!

Steve, really. In this day and age you should know better.
Unmarked van pulls up and a "fishy-looking" guy starts messing around with electrical lines? He could be planting a neon sign for gods sake! Wouldn't you have shot first? And think of the workers comp taxes.

I personally would have put my card and phone number on the windshield and then called my boss, telling him that "I fuched up and we are going to have to repair the car." Its called being honest.
He now will get in more trouble than if he had been honest and very well lose his job. "Blasting images" of him while he damages a car then runs away without telling the owner? Were he doing his job correctly he would have fessed up to the car's owner. He deserves getting in trouble and hope it happens. With the photos and a witness there is a very good chance it will happen! Now Einstein, how will he feed the kids without a job?

I, like probably others, missed where it says the car was damaged on the first read. Although, a better solution would have been to go out there and ask himi WTF he was doing rather than posting photos all over the web.

Who cares about any other job?? Its this one where he damaged someone's car then left the scene. You are just trying to divert attention from what he did do wrong and its not going to work. He is guilty as sin, the photos show this and John watched it. Do you need a movie? He dropped the ladder on the frigging car, or do you think that the "hand of God" did all this? Now, he left the area without leaving any contact info. What is the owner of the damaged car going to think? What would YOU think if it was your car? Please do butt out because its neither yours nor my business but at least I would be honest about it and do the right thing in the first place. You keep trying to find excuses for the guy when there are none. Its his cockup and he deserves to pay for the damage, period.

the ladder falling on the car was an accident. It wasn't his fault.

I wasen't mocking the guy for trying to make a living. No way. He walked around the corner several times and was probably asking his immediate boss , the Comcast subcontractor, what to do.
The original point of this thread was that the company should have paid to have a worker up there in a safe cherry picker doing the job right- especially around power lines. Period. You guys complain about Government workers, here's an example of unlicenced, untrained private sector workers.

He is supposed to be a professional. If he cannot handle it or if he feels that he needs a cherry picker out there, call the boss and request one. Dropping the ladder on a car, any car was his fault and his RESPONSIBILITY. I know you right wing liberals have problems with people accepting responsibility but here we have it in several photos. He did it, he is guilty and needs to fess up to the owner.

it is not evident in those photos that the ladder fell on the car or that it left the alleged "dent and 2 foot long scratch"
do you have any more photos of this? |
