Not only is the merlin a great sounding engine, it also looks great.

I never realized how loved these engines were until I stumbled upon some land speed racing sites. People have squeezed 4000hp from this ~60 year old design!

Here's a 2500 hp one used in a Bonneville LSR car... yours for 50k:
