My Hump... wonderful name for a song.

Strange... but then there are a lot of people in the music world who are that way.

Shuie 04-02-2007 06:12 PM

Nice Ducati in the first 30 seconds, but that was all I could take.

BGCarrera32 04-02-2007 06:37 PM

Holy cow was that bad.

techweenie 04-02-2007 06:58 PM

LOL.

Hilarious cover. If you're not too old/out of touch to get it.

techweenie 04-02-2007 07:04 PM

A clue for the mystified:

Nice. It hurt a little to have to turn the volume up and listen to both of them, but that was pretty funny. :)

I didn't think Alanis was down to the point of doing parodies. Weird Al still does 'em better.

White & Nerdy is pretty funny.

Nostril Cheese 04-02-2007 07:32 PM

both versions are ****ing horrible. Who listens to that ****?

Aerkuld 04-02-2007 08:07 PM

I have to be honest, I laughed!
I think Alanis is, as we say in Britain, taking the pi$$. I guess Canadian humor is similar...
I actually like her voice and the tune that she put that to was fairly melodic, but it illustrates nicely how meaniful (or not) the lyrics are in some popular music. I'm sure it has always been the same, there are some good songwriters about now and there were some bad ones in the past.
I am sure it is an age thing, but at 38 I don't consider myself particularly old, but there is a large section of music that I really don't have any time for.

Rearden 04-02-2007 08:43 PM

That's ironic

While I dislike the song "My Humps" it does get the young ladies working it out on the dance floor, something i cannot complain about

Reminds me of the Tori Amos cover album years ago.

Another lame female cover of a lame song.

Yeah, I am going to have to disagree with you on that one. Korn song or not, Amy Lee is great live.

Overpaid Slacker 04-03-2007 09:08 AM

I like her voice; I think it's an inspired parody. I think it's about 3:00 too long. The joke got old quick.

On the upside, she looks better than she has... even w/ her relative lack of "humps", I mean.
