Is there a Doctor in the House - Follow Up

For those who followed my thread on my recurring high fevers I finally got a diagnosis. After many visits to the doctor I got a referral to an infectuous disease specialist who really knew his business. He suspected a bacterial infection in my upper sinus cavity and a CAT scan showed him to be correct! I am now on antibiotics and steroids and will be for another few weeks. Hopefully that will kill off the infection. Thanks for the support and advice everyone gave me!

Great to hear. It's probably really nice to finally know what the problem is and be on the track to recovery.

Good to hear they found the problem and the way to treat it. Not knowing is probably as hard as the physical symptoms.

Did the CAT scan show any obstructions and or polyps? I have been battling reoccurring sinus infections/drainage/pressure for a few years and was diagnosed with obstructing polyps. Only after the last 2 month episode was I finally ready to get a CAT scan. It showed numerous obstructions. I had the surgery a few weeks later. It was a piece of cake. Since then no obstruction and I feel like my carbs have been replaced with weber's!

Nope, no obstructions or polyps. Just infection.
