There is a feature in THE OREGONIAN called "the edge"...it usually contains silly little facts, jokes, etc. Today, it was full of ironic news items. This one caught my eye, but I had trouble laughing:

"There are now 32 CCTV surveillance cameras within 200 yards of George Orwell's home in North London."

That's true...Big Bother, once all estate taxes are collected, is primarily interested in keeping an eye only on the living.
