Fred Thompson
The media seems to be pushing this guy to run for POTUS.
Would he make a good POTUS? Discuss... |
He's the only conservative that's even been mentioned to have a chance. I'd vote for him over any other of the current crop of candidates.

We just fired a flight attendant who was waaaaaay overdue for firing. Crazy as a loon. Could not add and subtract. Had trouble with the concept of time. Her cell phones lasted a week from the abuse.
She thinks Fred Thompson hung the moon (probably literally). She stated, now that she was unemployed, she was free to go work on his campaign. I'll not vote for him if they let her work there. It's that simple. Besides, Rudi's present wife would make a great First Lady! |
I dunno. The more I read about Tom Tancredo, the more I like him.

I would be excited to vote for him. He says what he thinks and if you don't like it...tough. I think he's very 'Reagan-esque'. He seems to be big on immigration control but frankly these days I have little hope that anyone can or will get a handle on the problem...too many special interests.
Thompson is a great speaker and has a Presidential presence about him. |

Thompson's a better actor. |
Oh yeah, I like Tancredo too.
|
Don't know him, I'll have to do some research.
Having somebody with Reagan's charisma would be nice. Hopefully he would bundle this with a bunch of moral majority bs. |

What does his wife look like?

Unfortunately he has Lymphoma. If he does run I hope the stress doesn't accelerate it's progression. |
Rick:
My mom had the same disease at about age 55. She lived to be 85. It is not necessarily a death sentence. Personally, I think he was( or is if he chooses to run) the GOP's best chance. |

I would strongly look at voting for him. |

Love him in Law and Order. Hot wife as well (number 2). I'd vote for him.

Man, he just looks presidential, doesn't he? :D
|
He played a R-Adm. in 'Hunt for Red October'. Yes pwd - he does "look" presidential...
I don't know much about him but will be interested in hearing more. |
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia progresses very slowly. Assuming he's in his late 50's or early 60's, he'll probably die of old age before anemia gets him.
My dad was diagnosed recently...he's 77...absolutely no symptoms. Oncologist says 'no worries'. Fred should be fine. Regarding him being an actor...I consider that a big plus regarding his qualification to be POTUS. Heck, that's the job. It's all image and presentation...two things that W struggles with. |
