Wolfowitz
so, didn't Bush do a crackdown on whitecollar CEO level fraud and whatnot?
so why does he still support Wolfowitz who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar??(taking cookies for his girlfriend) his excuse "i was new at the job, didn't know i couldn't do that" p-lease bit far from reality for a man in his position and with his trackrecord of high positions then again... he did come up with this : "There has been a good deal of comment - some of it quite outlandish - about what our postwar requirements might be in Iraq. Some of the higher end predictions we have been hearing recently, such as the notion that it will take several hundred thousand U.S. troops to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq, are wildly off the mark. It is hard to conceive that it would take more forces to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq than it would take to conduct the war itself and to secure the surrender of Saddam's security forces and his army - hard to imagine." yet the White House expects him to stay president of the World Bank...Dubya still has confidence in him... i see W sitting in the oval office saying to himself "the Force is strong in this one" |
Sad cuz he is actually a really smart guy but more of a spirited intellectual rather than a statesmen which is what the World Bank really needs at the healm.
He should be teaching at some Ivy league instead. |
WSJ p A12 "World Bank Power Play".
it's a take off on their original comments when he was posted. |
