Another new bang bang!

Just picked up another new toy to keep me busy.

Smith & Wesson M&P .40

Nice. I'd like to get my hands on one to see how they feel. I'd want to stick with 9mm, tho. Might offload my CZ75B for something different...

The CZ P01 catches my eye, but I'd rather have the safety than the decocker.

Let us know how it shoots!

MY Smith, Model SW40C aka Sigma......love it. I only use my AirLite .357 when weight is an issue. My "other" .357 I use when starting track meets on the other side of the field for the 300 and 200 meter races...... IT REALLY opens people's eyes when that sucker goes off.....:p

Thats what my wife carries.

Well, just got back from the range. I love it!
Burnt thru a box of ammo. Took a while to get used to. Has a really nice feel. I think I like it better than my HK USP. Its way lighter.
First 5 shots where all over. Tightned up a bit after the first mag.

Vinny,

Put at least 2-3 boxes through the gun, take it home and clean it then return with new targets. Need to bed everything in and for the first box of ammo, that looks good. What was the distance?

VINMAN 04-15-2007 06:14 PM

Thanks Joe. That target was at 15 yrds.

It was a toss-up between this gun and the Springfield Tactical 40.
The springfield has a 1" longer barrel and was a bit bulkier like my USP. so I figured id go for something a bit smaller.

I just can't get excited about autos. With a SA wheel gun you (I) can put six in the head from 30 yards and be drinking a brew while the auto is still spraying the countryside. Besides that, they are FUGLY.

i still want an old beretta 92f or later fs. then i want a gmc truck, a dually..and pull a stilt house down a cliff.. ;)

OK....11.4 ounces dry, make that 13.8 (not 14.9 as previously posted) loaded. 5 shot .357, the 911 RS of the world of weaponry.....

1lbs .05 ounces with a Bianchi clip on holster.

Joe Bob 04-15-2007 09:55 PM

Hmmmm, you mean like this?

Kimber 1911 auto 4" barrel in .45acp. 16 rounds @ 25 yards, two weeks ago:

Regarding aesthetics, I don't think the Kimber is too hard on the eyes. Besides, I could care less what it looks like if it gives me quicker mag changes (at least for me) and higher capacity.

Been watching "Lethal Weapon" lately??:D

bigchillcar 04-16-2007 07:12 AM

vinny, yep! :D parts 1 thru 3 the other night! number 4 is next (again)..it's arguably possibly the best..amazing for a 3rd sequel! all good, but number 3 is the weakest, 1 and 4 the best. i love the scene in part one where he just walks up between all the cops down on the ground, covered, talking to and taking out the sniper at the school. :)
