F1 in Bahrain - Any fans present?
Watched this race on TV. The camera folks went to great effort to avoid shots of the stands. Didn't hardly see any fans at all. Was kinda like watching an IRL race in that aspect.
I was in the Arab Emriates a few months ago and doubt if there is a big fan base; even if you could stand the heat. Anyone know how many showed?

Yes, pretty empty... But probably it all comes down to Tobacco sponsorship on TV. You can clearly see Marlboro in the Ferrari cars.
Maybe the TV is where the money truly is...
