HotRod and the Cold Shoulder

I love HotRod!

He is subpoened by the feds just after the election (allegedly in connection with his nepotistic hiring practices). He has been refusing to release the subpoenas since they were issued months ago. Even the state Attorney General (another Democrat), has said they are public record and should be released.

Quote:
A public watchdog group sued Blagojevich for refusing to release copies of subpoenas received from federal prosecutors investigating hiring fraud in state jobs and possibly other matters.
What does the local press (Chicago Tribune, Dailey Harold, even my local paper) do? They bury the story on page 17 below the crease, don't report on it for months at a time, and hardly say anything when they do.

The thing is, when our former Governor George Ryan was under suspicion for nearly identical things, it was a front-page story every single day until he declined to run for re-election. He's in jail now, BTW.

The difference? Well, Ryan was a Republican, HotRod is a Democrat. Blagojevich, Dailey, and Obama form the Holy Trinity of Illinois politics, with Dailey at the head. Blagojevich, Dailey, and Ryan are equally corrupt, and I seriously wouldn't be surprised about Obama either considering how close he is to the first two.

Who knows? Maybe Obama has kept his nose clean....oh...right.

hiring fraud in state jobs
I have the same problem here at work. A click of employees are being hired over more qualified people.
