I'm not earning my keep here

Can't remember the last time I helped someone out on the 911 tech board. I guess I better start going there more often. Why doesn't anyone ask questions like, "How should I vacuum my car?" Those I can handle.

MRM 04-19-2007 09:10 AM

Or, "What happens if I Armor-All my tire tread?" I can help with that one.

Burnin' oil 04-19-2007 09:16 AM

This should probably go on the tech board, but I need help. My windshield is covered with squished bugs. I can't see anything. What should I do? Can anyone help? Advice? Please?

scottmandue 04-19-2007 09:20 AM

I can help direct you to a supplier of fresh unsquished bugs if that helps.

I need some German air in my tires.
Where can I get some German air?

Thanks K.T.

From the lungs of a German?

Give Tyson Schmidt a call. His name at least sounds German.

Aerkuld 04-19-2007 09:49 AM

I get the occasional feeling of guilt and have to go onto the 944 or 911 tech board now and again. I am getting to the point where there aren't many un-turned bolts on the 944.
Trouble is you generally have to be so serious with tech help - I don't think I've ever seen the term 'poopie head' used over there.

dhoward 04-19-2007 09:49 AM

Since I got my car fairly sorted out a few years ago, I don't go over there much.

"Help! Major oil spill during oil change."

I know how to say Porsche, its "Porsche". There, I did my part.

I had a friend that I let ride my motorcycle offer to wash my bike. I said sure and them came by a while later and saw him Armor All'ing my tires!!! I said thanks for the wash, but now I'm going to have to sand that crap off the tread. He sanded it off, but I forgot about it next time I road the bike. Sure enough I lost the front end going around a corner and wiped out about 100 ft from my driveway :o.

I tend to go to this board and the tech board equally.

No. N/A stands for North America and Porsche turbos only work with German air.

Funny, after 2000+ inane "OT" posts, I think I may have just posted something useful and 911 (or 964 &993) related.

who'd a thunk it?

I ain't done yet!

I made a point of linking to the images so it could be printed off easily and used in the garage

and ya, it still needs some formatting. I just wanted to puke all the info out before it overwritten in my brain by useless VW diesel info
