I dislike some of ebays tactics. Especially since they own paypal, and have had no qualms about freezing peoples paypal money when their ebay account has a problem. Or an overdue invoice. When they do this, they claim they have not siezed the money - only suspended their service on that account. Same diff. If you really want to worry about your ebay security, google for "Vladuz". This hacker has used a firefox exploit to collect login and password info - including some from ebay employees. Additionally, he has an array of custom ebay hack programs that he not only uses, but also distributes to other would-be hackers. In a press conference earlier this year, Meg announced that eBya security improvements will be of primary importance for 2007. |
