Looking for help with my shop cam set up
I had a friend come over and spend nearly four hours only to discover she doesn't know squat about networking or cameras or much else for that matter! </rant>
I have my LAN working fine. I can access every componant with out any problems. I just can't figure out how to access my netcam remotely. I'm not 100% sure I have my router configured properly and am not clear on "port range forwarding". I've got an Axis 210 netcam and a Linksys BESFR41 wired router. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
I'l give that a try.
Thanks |

Photos Kevin, we need photos! If she is hot then who cares and we can fix the camera later! :)
Have you tried http://192.168.0.1/ yet? You may have to go into the router setup and tell it to allow the camera to interface with the router... Joe |
Can you get Internet access at the neighbors place for a few minutes for testing? I'll drop by tomorrow and we'll get it running.

did that but still can't access it remotely. I'm not sure what "port Range" means in the port forwarding section
|
I can bring my lap top it has broadband capabilities
|
Any open wireless AP's around there? The point is to be able to test the remote video locally. No worries, it'll be running before you can say "lacquer thinner".
Dave |
whats an "AP"?
