Anyone in Louisville, Nashville or Memphis next week?
Just got a heads up that I am going to be flying into Louisville, Nashville and Memphis sometime next week.
Part of it will be for the derby. Any Pelicans in this area? Will start out in Louisville on Wednesday. Joe

Ever so slight chance I'll be flying to Louisville and riding back to Sylva, NC with the seller of the bike I'm buy on Sat. If you're gonna be in Louisville Friday night, I might come a day early.

that's funny i may be in Kentucky next week if i can get this hulk rolling? Kentucky is a very nice state to drive around in once you're off the interstates from what i've seen. otherwise i have to roll into Ashville and meet member Borag & his 911 and then start rolling west. Weather determines route.

Ronin, Asheville is pretty near where I have to be in NC. When are you going there and are you passing by Wash. DC en route?

hi Rick i was in motion last week packing the 911 and i blew a tranny seal on a high end rebuild with 80mi on it. I just reinstalled tranny last night and still have to start it and adjust a new shifter correctly. Rolling next week is my goal. I have no plans after a 10hr bs ride getting outta the NE. I may head for that commercial hot spring area in a NC forest and meet Borag there instead of hitting his house. The last thing i'm interested in is a stop light. wanna soak your head while i'm soaking mine?

Will stay in touch. Right now schedule is to leave Houston for Louisville and possibly stay there until Sunday or so.
More as I get it...

If you are in Nashville for any length of time you must have Hot Chicken. Just ask the locals how to get to 'Prince's Hot Chicken Shack' or Lorrie Morgan's restaurant. I don't recommend it if you have to fly the next day, tho.
Where are you staying? I spent about a year in Nashville two years ago and know the area pretty well. great city. Lots of fun stuff to do. Last edited by Shuie; 04-27-2007 at 06:54 PM.. |

Schuie,
No idea where we are staying just yet. What I have to do is get some good BBQ while back there! Latest is that we head to Louisville on Wednesday and stay there until Sunday. Not sure where from there.... Joe

I lived near Louisville for a while and have spent a lot of time in the area with family. I'd a recommend good food, but I don't think it exists there
![]() If you are still looking for BBQ when you get to Nashville, stay on Main St. in the downtown area. It wont be great, but thats the best I can do. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a good BBQ joint in Memphis so I think you'll be fine there ![]() Last edited by Shuie; 04-28-2007 at 05:50 PM.. |
