Anyone watchin Setup on Speed?
 

Sort of like American Idol for amateur racers. Looks like fun.

tivo is set to record the series but I haven't watched any of it yet. It sounds like a great show.

I have been watching it. "Kenton" is Arizona Region PCA's autocross director. That guy can drive!

I watched the first episode. I've tivoed the second but haven't watched it yet.

Yeah... Kent's not allowed to tell us how it ends.

Trust me, I have tried to get info from him for weeks now. His mouth is more closed than my wallet.

I thought he was a second show and done after last week. The Setup people made him their "Ryan" of week 1. He took a beating from the editors.

Another episode tonight. We'll see if Kenton can do better than first to last place. Hey, if he starts from last, there is only one direction to go. Go team RMR!

Wait...is someone from Pelican on Setup?

I liked last week's episode. I was glad to see that punk who turned down RMR get the boot. He apparently did not understand that he was racing for a full ride (probably with different sponsors) in Rolex and cold, hard cash. If my choices are to race or to turn down a sponsor, you won't see me turning anyone down. What an arrogant punk.

The rest of the field I'm pretty happy with--any of them winning is fine with me.

Busted, ok I kinda like it.

However, looks like 90% of the people on this show and speeds previous show "Forza Showdown" are Roundy Round drivers. Glad to see there is a person with actual road race/autocross experience.

I was begining to wonder where the heck they get these people from. Especially with so many high quality club racers around the country.

Then I rememberd Speed TV is really NASCAR TV in disguise so no wonder most participants are from roundy round background.

The PCA Zone 8 chairwoman put the word out to the local PCA clubs to see if any of their top autocross/DE people would be interested in auditioning for the show.
