Projection TV Question

I am considering buying a Philips 51" TV . Does anyone own one? If so, what is your opinion?

The price is $1099, which seems very reasonable.

Thanks, David

We have both a projection CRT tv and LCD tv. Both are HD. But the difference is night and day. The LCD has such a clearer picture. The CRT we have is good, but there is no WOW factor. Plain and simple, CRT's are old technology, but if you just need something to get the job done, then go right ahead and get it.
Also, if you start to think about getting a DLP tv,... DON'T!! If you have even slightly sensitive eyes those tv's will drive you nuts. There is this stupid rainbow effect with those. Just stay away.

I was wavering between the Mitsubishi 62" WD62531 (1080p LCD HDTV) and the Philips. I did some more research and found the Mitsubishi on sale, including delivery, setup, and a matching stand, for $1499. I ordered it and am awaiting delivery.

Thanks BB, David

Much better choice than the Philips. Enjoy!
