I'm into the vegetable oil as fuel thingy, and predictably, that's got me meeting and communicating with folks from different enviro groups.

What DRIVES ME NUTS are the ones who insist that industry or the governement are 100% responsible for getting them clean, cheap energy, and that as individuals they bear no responibility at all. Oh, the gov't needs to fix this, car companies need to do that, but in the meantime I'll drive to the cornerstore 4 times a day and complain about how much it costs.

In my eyes, what it comes down to is that we're all extremely wasteful. We've set up our lives to be dependant on cheap, plentiful energy. We squawk when we don't get it, but rarely consider using less. It's The Man's responsibility to fix the problem... as though all the conumer can do is waity for GM to make a 50mpg sport ute, and the government to subsidize it.

Some company in England has recently started making replica Morgans 3 wheelers, that use Honda Vtwins.

I'm seriously considering getting one, and using it as my commuter ride. I'd expect it to get good enough gas milage to be better than a prius, and it just looks so much better. I'll agroculturly engineer a top for it, and drive it in the crappy weather also.

i hate knowing that i pay $7 in gas every day to go to the airport and back, especially as a flight instructor and i sit there all day and not make a dime. our local economy is dead..few can afford to fly.
