Lavonia, GA to Asheville, NC to Greenback, TN
Going to see the wife's family next week and renting a car down there. These roads look great on the map. Any local knowledge? Hey Pat, don't you live in that area?

I'm not familiar with that part of Georgia, but it looks as though you'll be traveling just a stone's throw away from FastPat (I believe he's in Travelers Rest). Don't throw it too hard though, you might put an eye out!

Pat lives about 1.0 - 2.0 hours East of Asheville.
Rent with Hertz and rent either a Miata or 350Z. You'll enjoy it a lot. IMHO the best route to Greenback from Asheville? or vise versa. It will not be the fastest but the most fun, take 74 to 129 and enjoy a ride on the Dragon. Have fun!!
