Seems that no one above agreed with him but some of the above posts are really in poor taste, especially considering that he has not been laid to rest yet. Remember, we all will pass away sometime and how about we show a bit more respect at this time? I did not agree with much of what he said, but hope that he rests in peace... Joe

with all due respect, this guy was a hatemonger who preached that he was a prophet and caused more problems than he solved. In my opinion, he really was no different than an islamic fundamentalist. I personally hope God forgives him

I got in an elevator with him once. He was nice and chatty. I thought he said a lot stupid stuff on tv, but it was far less stupid than a lot of politicians and media types say regularly with far greater effect.

Who was responsible for 9/11? Is one of the Teletubbies gay? These kinds of views fed into the hatred of some toward others and are not helpful in uniting people. When one examines what the basic tenets of Christainity are, one must conclude that statements made to condemn others are just wrong. I do not revel in the passing of anyone, but I feel that this is a case where one religiously intolerant voice has been silenced. I do hope he rests in peace. As a free society, the Reverend had the right to say the things he did, but sometimes what he said hurt people and were his opinions, not gospel.
