The front end of the "diva" looks like the BMW Z8.

I see a little of that, but only after mistaking the car for a Ferrari Enzo.

Enzo nose (and side windows), Lotus Elise body proportions.

Nah, the Enzo is too angular. The car above is pretty curvy

the back end and intake is similar

yep, these look related even more than the others

not so much

The Diva is kind of awkward, as Alfas go. For the most part, I have to stop and look at almost any Alfa I see. They appeal to the part of me that loves curves and proportions.
When I heard Subaru had hired their chief designer away from Alfa, I had great hopes for them, until I saw the Tribeca and the re-nosed Impreza. He proved you can't just take the basic styling elements and invert them with any measure of success. (In fact, if you lined up a bunch of Japanese cars and said, "One of these lines were penned by an ex-Alfa designer.", I would probably pick out the Mazda 3 & 6 lines. Hmmm.)

The rear pictures that kach posted are reminiscent of the 1965 Corvair Corsa (Silver/greay paint insert, two round lenses each side)

Interesting pictures of the Diva, I think it looks great but I do wonder if this is just another design study? It also is clearly not the productionised 8C although it looks similar the 8C was supposed to be front engine rear wheel drive and powered by a derivate of the Ferrari/Masserati V8, the Diva is mid engined an appears to use the old V6 which has now been replaced (the new one hasn't got the nice shiny plenum and chromed pipes).

This is of some interest to me because I work at a car dealers which sells Alfa Romeo's alongside Saab cars, always good to have some idea of what is eventualy going to arrive in the showroom, even if it is a couple of years off !

Love the Alfa 8C... if I start saving now maybe when they start importing them...

I could afford a hub cap off one of them.

If your budget won't stretch to an 8C maybe we could tempt you with a Brera?

Or the not quite launched yet Brera Spider?

If Fiat/Alfa Romeo get their act together, these cars should be appearing in a dealership near you soon, if they don't I do wonder just how much longer they can survive as an independent manufacturer?

As for MG, well apparently under the Nanjing car companys new direction, the future is bright. Here is the all new light weight three seater concept....

A guy around the corner from me has a really nice 80s GTV6. It sounds incredible.

But - Scirocco 16v performance for 911 upkeep. No thanks.

UPDATE: 05/07/07

I love the Brera, but admit I've never pictured it topless.
