UPDATE: We've spoken to Ruf, who have corrected us regarding the Porsche Cayman. The CTR 3 is not Cayman-based. The car's body is designed by Ruf. Only the taillamps are sourced from the Cayman. The car's transmission is a 6-speed sequential gearbox, not a seven-speed as had been rumored.

The RUF looks like an awesome car, different than the Stola Boxster of a few years ago.

EDIT: Back to the RUF

The 3,746cc twin-turbocharged flat six produces 700 horsepower and over 656 lb-ft of torque, which, according to RUF, enables the CTR3 to run from zero to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds and max out at 235 mph. Shifts come courtesy of a six-speed sequential manual gearbox. The tall shifter is capped with a metal knob and features prominently in the Ruf's leather-lined cabin. 15" 6-piston ceramic-composite brakes fore and aft handle the task of stopping this rocketship. The brakes are tucked behind a set five-spoke wheels sized 19" in front and 20" in back. As much a supercar as the Enzo, Carrera GT, and SLR McLaren, the CTR 3 is priced accordingly at €380,000 plus VAT. That's over $510,000 US dollars at the current exchange rate, and for the buyers who would consider adding one to their collections, it's probably worth every single penny.
$510,000 US dollars

That's like two Carrera GT's, right?

Where is my check book.:D

Wow - that looks amazing.

Add that to my "if-I-ever-win-the-lottery" list. . .

The back end looks like crap. The rear spoiler and lights ride 4-6 inches to low. I looked through the entire gallery. Lots of good until you get to that back end.

Bah....pictures on the internet don't mean squat. The Cayman looks bubbly and weird until you see it in person. Then its....oh mama....sign me up....

That is my impression of the Cayman as well. Going further, in pictures the 904 looks like it has a long silly nose which goes on forever past the front wheels. In real life that goes away real fast and I love the car's looks.
