We bought our spoons at Sears over 30 years ago. They didn't cost near THAT much!

Yeah I know a Spoon is a Spoon. However when a Lady Friend showed me her Porter Blanchard Flatware...I said WOW now this is something special, Handmade, Arts & Crafts or Modernism. So I was fortunate to find not only a set of Flatware by Adler but a Full Sterling Tea Service by Porter Blanchard in about a months time from the same source. I have never seen another Tea Service. At the time it was expensive but not exorbinately so. If the set sells for the opening bid I'm up by a factor of 3 in 7 years. If it goes for high estimate its a factor of 6. Not a Bad return.

It appears that the Adler stuff is going to go the way of Picasso Paintings. Get enormously expensive.

The guy I bought the Adler and Blanchard from in Brentwood handles celebrity items from time to time. I have a suspicion that what I bought belonged to Barbara Streisand. They told me a bit later that they were handling some of her stuff, allthough they told me that those items came from a BH Estate and a Divorce in the Valley. I know that they handled Walter Mateaus estate and George Hamiltons stuff before, but they never say exactly what stuff actually belonged to them as they keep that private.
