Jobs...

I'm thinking I may want to work for an automotive A/C supply/ service company. Blend Air has treated me well as a customer, but I see so many flaws. Especially this web page http://www.blendair.net

Spelling and grammar seems to be nonexistent. For instance, they can't spell Porsche correctly. They need my help, I need some work, but maybe not this much.

I'll be handling the web portion and I know nothing about web design, so I'm really at odds whether or not to tackle the job. I'd much rather install the components than sell them from what I'm studying.

This would be a summer job that helps me pay for my next semester in school. I've already dipped into my savings, but not the retirement funds.

By no means does this company require on-line sales to stay afloat. Seriously, in no way shape or form, am I trying to promote any potential sales, but they could do so much better.

I'll be speaking with them in the morning, any feedback is much appreciated. SmileWavy

I used to sell to politicians, Joe. My former clients are suffering now that I no longer care to represent them. I'm new to online stuff. I have a few suggestions, but they aren't cheap.

mattdavis11 05-21-2007 03:05 PM

Man, do I beat around the bush or what?

What I would really like is input on whether or not you would be a client of said business via an on-line transaction today. I see some hope, but not much. I'm affordable and expendable at the same time for this business.

A suit and tie has worn me thin at this point in my life and it's not required to nail the job down.

Please peruse this site... http://www.blendair.net

Would you be scared buying from them?

M.D. Holloway 05-21-2007 03:20 PM

Matt,
By the look of the website they look pretty momnpop - I wouldnlt buy from them unless I visted the stroefront and met with them.

You need work? Dude, your close by - why not NCH? I might be able to pull some strings. heck, they might even pony up for tuition!

Sorry to have bothered you as evidently what I said was not what you wanted to hear.

Just deleted my posts. Will let the others chime in and assist...

mattdavis11 05-21-2007 03:51 PM

Joe, I lend my ear to a select few, you're one. I value your input.

Mike, I'm ready to apply. Do I need to be at Carl Rd. & Northgate at 6:30 am?SmileWavy

Matt,

Sorry, just got the idea that what I was saying was not the input you were looking for.

See what Mike can help with, he has very good contacts in the DFW area.

mattdavis11 05-21-2007 04:58 PM

My clarity isn't the greatest Joe.

Another company has offered me a job selling red UFOs.:D I declined.
I want to work and this is my first week back on the market in 8 months. I've been offered a job waiting tables. We shall see what surfaces.

Joeaksa 05-21-2007 05:01 PM

Matt,

Anyone can wait on tables, find something that challenges you.

Joe

This would be the job then. I'm about to turn that company into the largest distributor of a/c components that Texas has ever seen.

Only computers can stand in my way now.;)

M.D. Holloway 05-21-2007 08:38 PM

Matt,
Do you have an updated resume ready? Give me a call and we can discuss what might be available.

Do not limit yourself. Instead of saying the biggest in Texas, say the entire country, then give it a whirl.

mattdavis11 05-22-2007 06:39 AM

Mike, I haven't updated my resume in 8 years. I'll get it done today and give you a call tomorrow if that suits your schedule.

How about I buy you lunch one day this week at the Sushi place down the street?

Chocaholic 05-22-2007 07:15 AM

You guys should pick up a phone. Sheesh.

M.D. Holloway 05-22-2007 08:39 AM

Matt,
Now that sounds like a great idea! I'm free for lunch this week. Let me know. My cell is 214-450-7864 (thats a work cell BTW).
