I was 12 when I ignited a bowl of powder removed from old, damp fireworks. It was difficult to get the pasty crap to ignite, but when it finally did I lost all the skin from my right thumb and two fingers. A ball of gauze for a hand kinda ruined the rest of the summer for me.

But I learned to be much more careful with explosives.

The body is standard mid-war 2 tone camo over Acrylic dark yellow base - post shaded in umber. The tracks are based shaded in raw umber and orange for rust and washed with various umbers and blacks (oils) that I throw together. Finished off with silver to high-lite the raised surfaces. Then gone over again with Artists chalks or Tamiya weathering chalks. Whew - I waste a lot of time on these.
