Here come the cicadas...
For you Mid West pelicans...I've seen a few.. tomorrow or the next day should be interesting. For everyone else, these red eyed cicadas comed out in the millions every 17 yrs. They're gonna be everywhere for 3-4 weeks. Harmless, but everywhere. Pics to come when they're in full force.

I lived in Glen Ellyn last time they came out. Driving up the driveway was like walking on corn chips.
I wonder what Bloomington will be like?

I was in Lombard last time and now I'm in Elmhurst...I'd think you'll get some in Bloomington. The recipes are in the newspapers...eww.

A couple years ago I was in DC/VA and those buggers were everywhere. You couldn't walk down the sidewalk w/o stepping on them. I remember sitting in a 8th floor meeting and getting distracted by the Cicadas banging against the windows by the hundreds. A guy there said his yard was FULL of dead ones and they had to close the windows cause the smell was so bad. No thanks...I'll take the killer earthquake every 50 years.
