My uncle made it into Timeīs Rich List this year.
Out of Great Britainīs 1000 richest he shares number 755 with Robbie Williams!
So far I havnīt seen a dime of it.. :D |
Better than him in the poor house. Get him to teach you how do do better in business. He would hopefully do that anytime, while sharing is usually not a wealthy person's style.
|
Never count on an inheritance...never. If it happens, consider it a bonus.
|
Actually I have never expected any hand outs. I am just proud of his accomplishment. He started out with nothing, selling self-picked strawberries outside the movie theaters in his early teens. Now he is worth roughly $300M.
|
You need to tell your dad to be more like his brother!

755= (648=) Robbie Williams Ģ95m Music 755= (871=) Sir Frank Williams Ģ95m Motor racing Livi?? you not telling us everything or what? |
A number of years ago, I got a Summer apprentice. Name sounded familiar. Yup....he was a member of the Kresge family of retail fame. But, as he said it: "I'm from the poor side of the family."
|
Stijn, no he is not into motor racing. There are some eleven persons sharing number 755. He is in Pharmaceuticals. Our family name is Perlhagen.
|
Lennart Perlhagen
* RESULTS 2007 * Ranking: 755= * Worth: Ģ95m * Industry: Pharmaceuticals Perlhagen, 64, a Swede, is based in London. The 2006 Swedish rich list in Veckans Affarer magazine put his wealth at Ģ95m based on the sale of his pharmaceuticals company Cross Pharma. |
That's a lot of money... and a lot of potential p-cars... :D

Actually he is an avid F1 follower. Every year when the circus arrives in Monte Carlo he leaves his winery north of Cannes in Southern France. He takes his big yacht 'parked' in Saint Tropez and parallel park it in the Monte Carlo harbor. He then spends the afternoon at his best friends on the terrace of his luxury apartment overlooking the grid of the race. Cool beverage in his hand and premier spectator location for the F1 cars running by.
Money does not equal happiness. Or so itīs been stubbornly claimed by people without it... honestly I am on the fence with that one. :D |
Now why didnīt I think of that!
And naturally, as he is still a very busy man for his age, he wount have time to drive it as much as a car like that needs, to stay in good condition..I would be more than happy to help him out. As a matter of fact, I might even let him park it in my garage. Hey, I am generous man! |
you're to busy with your women and children
there goes my weekend  good thing i'm so flexible |
:D
So what are you saying here, Stijn? You benevolently volunteering for the 'keeping it in shape - job' ? I do reluctantly acknowledge the fact that it would be parked closer to the owners summer residence on the Riviera. |
fair enough, i do what i can for a friend
besides, in the Riviera, i can also visit my own rich uncle while i'm there seems ot have a good time there, seen pics of him dining with Tina T and Clint E |
Cousin Livi, is that you :)?
|
Livi , how old are you anyway? i actually don't know who my dad is
where were you in october '75??? and where was yer uncle?? :D |
Funny story; My wife's uncle is rich. Half a billion $ or more. Nice guy. My wife was poor most of her early life. Despite being an honor student, she barely made it through college because she had no money. She lived on $10/week food budget. When we were married, our first 7 years together we were flat broke. We never got any assistance from her uncle. We never asked, either. The rich uncle has two essentially useless sons and a half dozen relatives who believe they will all be rich beyond measure when the old man dies.
Fast forward many years. The rich uncle and I are sharing a few bottles of wine at one of his homes. He decides to tell me what his plans are for his "estate" after he dies. There will be a very modest trust fund for his sons. Just enough to provide food and shelter. The bulk of his estate will go into a charitable foundation that will build libraries, rural health facilities and college scholarships for the truly needy. The rest of the family get nothing. Not a dime. No one in the family besides my wife and I know about his plans. I wouldn't dare spoil the surprise. :D |
