Ditto here. After watching the video, I was trying to remember who Rosie O'Donnell really is, I mean what is she famous for besides that horseschit TV show?? I honestly can't remember, but then I quit watching TV when "Happy Days" was still on.

As to more important matters, I'd hit that other broad. :)

Rosie got her start in "A League of Their Own," as Madonna's pal. She was sort of cute then as a bubbly little loud mouth.

Whenever I see her these days, I think for a moment that Sam Kennison has returned from the dead. But sadly, I soon find I'm wrong. :(

Wow. Really, WOW! I just got done addressing this caricaturization problem you guys have, on another thead. And here it is. In another thread.

Lendaddy reporting that we all look like Rosie O'Donnell. Island absolutely, vigorously, forcefully REJECTS the notion that Rosie does not represent moderate liberals. In other words, EVERY liberal must be identified with Rosie and rejected as a fruitcake. It is certainly convenient for you guys to pretend that all liberal thinkers are traitors and terrorists who wish ill upon our troops. That belief helps protect you from having to consider the possibility that some liberals might have constructive concerns.

It really is the same ol' ****, all the time. Your president's entire "administration" addresses issues this same way: Not at all. Somebody's got to bring this nation together and it's not going to be anyone who thinks like you guys do, or your so-called "leader."

But you at least admit Rosie ain't a looker, right? SmileWavy

Oh Sup, I'm just gettin yer goat. What with Rodeo MIA and all I needed a new toy:D

widgeon13 05-24-2007 10:34 AM

Rosie is a POS, she just has a stage to promote her Bull S--- ideas.

I've been happy, obviously, to have provided some amusement lately. The problem? I've been getting plenty of sleep. Apparently, I'm better off when drowsy. I'm 49 now, and wondering when I'll have the emotional calmness of a middle aged man.

Like someone else here said, I get pretty much ALL my information about Rosie from you guys. I have never, ever seen any part of her TV show. I think she has a TV show, right? From you guys' reports, she sounds like a wacko. Then again, with this issue, and all the others, many of us have drawn some conclusions about why we hear these reports when we do and why you guys' positions sound so neatly parallel. You guys know what I'm talking about. You're getting your information from the same few sources.

Unfortunately Rosie was around WAY before "A league of their Own. " She was doing stand up comedy on HBO in the late 80s early 90s she built up a little bit of steam then dropped way off. If you were to see her old stand up comedy acts you would be like, "Who in the hell is that!" She had a lot of man-hatred in her act even then but she didn't really give off a dike vibe per say. Her act was actually pretty funny b/c she made fun of herself and talked about how fat and ugly she was. She must have then later bought all of these old VHS tapes that had her act on them b/c it totally went against her new liberal-self.

Anyway, if the libs could stop idolizing celebrities and pissing and moaning over all of the world's injustices long enough to get their cry-baby asses organized enough to vote someone in office I guess we will continue to hear their excuses. If they ever do pull it off I guess the world will then be saved from the tyranny that is evil men like Gee-Dubbya.... but since GW was reelected well after all the libs knew how evil he is I guess there just must be more of us conservatives than there are pant-pissing libs so deal with it.
Doesn't it scare the living crap out of you libs to think about how many moronic NASCAR lovin red-necks there are out there? You have to figure that every NASCAR lover is a vote for the GOP everyday of the year and NASCAR is now the most watched sport in the nation. Golly-Gee libs I think you are being out screwed by morons who like to watch cars go fast and turn left. That has to sting at least a little bit.
Plus how bad could GW and his Christian counterparts be doing at least last I check the US was still the last remaining superpower in the world with what is possibly the highest standard of living on the planet.
I work in downtown Charlotte and I am looking out my 13th story office window at a street fest called Speed Street and there has to be thousands of said NASCAR lovin red-necks out there. I bet if I was to yell GEEEEE-DUBBBYYYYAAAA-RRUUULLLLLEEESSS out the window right now it would generate a HUGE Yee-Haw!

PS.....Take those damn John Kerry stickers off your cars already....it is over.....YOU LOST.....now go make yourself useful and fix me a sandwich or something.
PSS...HHMMMM I wonder what kind of event I would need to go to where I could find this many libs in one location? Oh yhea, libs aren't either organized enough or agreed upon any one thing enough to all be in one location at a time.

Yeah, we sure have a problem with caricaturization here. Ever notice your audience is shrinking around here, Superman? Many are just writing you off. Wonder why that is.... Oh, I just remembered. It's because you write stuff like this:

Frankly, I look at Republicans like I looked at Fastpat. As traitors. People who want to bring my government down. I saw it with my own eyes.
But we sure do have a problem with caricaturization. Yes we sure do.

Rosie is the only honest one here.
1) When did Yoda replace Barbara Walters?
2) And since when has deep canyon chest plummets been a fashion statement for conservative Christian women?

yes indeed.

I remember her when she did standup. Never paid any attention to her after that, but she does apparently have an audience. :)

island911 05-24-2007 01:33 PM

Hey cowtown . .. how much will ya sell Superman for? (now that you Own him) :D

Seriously, this thread was meant to be about this liberal fruitcake idea that our occupation of Iraq is terrorism. (is-is and is-was, btw)

But... since Thom & Dr no are fixated on Rosie... What if Rosie was the man (s)he wants to be? ..then what, while (s)he verbaly assalted his(er) fairer cohost Elizabeth?

Superman 05-24-2007 01:42 PM

I did see it with my own eyes, Colin. In fact, it's in print. But then, who reads legislative records, anyway? Much easier to get your "news" from Fox.

Now......go back to your conclusions that all liberals agree with Rosie and conservatives don't exaggerate.

Breaking news...Superman read legislative records, leading him to the inescapable conclusion that "Republicans are traitors."

Good looks AND superior deductive reasoning skills! An integrated package of awesomeness that has not been experienced since the likes of RedUFO. (Or perhaps Mahmoud Ahmadinejad).

How could anyone not want to debate you on substance, Supe? Really, the intellectual stimulation your offer is just off the charts. No, I mean it! :)

She was actually pretty good in "League of Their Own."

Honestly, I think she's as big a fruitcake as the rest of them, but I doubt anyone gives her much credence.

Sure there are outliers on the bell-curve, with their conspiracy theories and hatred of the half of the population that doesn't aggree with their views, but the other, more reasonable 95% of the curve, whether R or D, probably just see Rosie as annoying/entertaining.

Only the weak-minded latch on to false leaders like Michael Moore, Sharpton, Rosie, or Falwell, and they're no cause for worry (IMO) They're good for a laugh.

WHo said "all"? Are you exaggerating again? From what I've seen, a large percentage of Lib's feel that War is terrorism. tm

... Is that NOT the Rosie view that Liberals hold?

Below is my response to each of the substantive comments you offered above:

cowtown 05-24-2007 02:30 PM

LOL - that's OK supe. As you can probably tell I'm a Republican, so I don't expect a response. You know, what with the traitor thing and all.

Your blind hatred's a wonderful thing, eh?

:D

drauz 05-24-2007 02:33 PM

how can war not include the element of terror?
if non-combatants die due to combat in war, how might their friends and family be expected to perceive the contending armies?
if a political movement holds the position that centralized gov power is inherently wrong, that its institutions must be dismantled, and that its overriding value is to transfer treasury funds to the private sector, how might that movement be described?
is one's political philosophy defined by himself or his opponents?

Burnin' oil 05-24-2007 02:34 PM

I Love Rosie.
