bmw bike value? 86 r80...
have a friend who is selling a nice maroon 1986 r80. 1 owner (who died , he is selling it for the widow)blue plate nj bike, spotless with about 10500 original miles. has the front fairing and soft bags...what is it worth? he is looking to get like $2800
it looks like this  but has these tail pipes (original) and no hard bags...the lower fairing around the clynders is not there (did not have them)

it's a 21 year old bike, and not what i call a rare collectible
don't know real prices, but sure as hell wouldn't pay 2800 for it... 2 grand, tops..

Those bikes do hold their value, especially with low miles like that one. Go look at eBay and Craigslist. You'd be surprised at what they get for R's.

there's plenty of em here for well under 2000 usd full options and what not... even younger ones then 86
