Did you notice that the Golf has been widened considerably to fit the 928 V8? LOTS of custom work (incl glass) there.

Car was featured in Road & Track many years back when this car was done "new". Good that the rear pane of (custom) glass was flat...only made it exhorbitantly expensive instead of non-doable !!

I remember when that was in the magazines 20+ years ago.

That is one sweet ride. (I wonder what they used for the windshield??)

LOL! Yeah, I posted something about that car a few months ago. It was a cool idea back in the day. Thing is, back in the day was 1978, and the new GTI with the 2.0 turbo, will trounce that 928-Rabbit.

Of course, the new GTI lists for about $30K.

Personally, I'd much rather have a regular 110 hp. Golf GTI with those great ATS wheels.
