My Boss Called Me Into His Office This Morning!

Early morning hour. I was caught of guard approach by my boss urging me to step into his offer. This is rather uncommon so immediately I suspected a malpractice on my part.

Well, he offered me a seat and (believe or not) a cigar! I am totally bewildered and mentally preparing to get sacked.

No worries however.

- "How would you like a position as Senior Consultant, Markus?"

- "Ah, come again (looking like a complete moron), how would I like what???"

To make a long story short, I thought about for the required......two seconds.

Quite a step up in base pay too! Gigantic actually!

Letīs see, where were I?

Oh, yeah right. 964 RS, GT3...or why not both!

Thanks so much, guys!

I really didnīt see it coming in a near future. Fact of the matter is that I just yesterday bought a new house with a large, two car, garage I always dreamed of. Now I can remake it the way I want, with good help from all of the great threads on the subject here on the forum!

Markus,

It was great of them to recognize your abilities in a very real fashion.
Congratulations.

Congratulations Markus! Will the new house have more room for overseas guests? Oh and just what does a Senior Consultant do?

Thank you! Honestly the warm feeling of appreciation is of course worth more than the money. Well, sort of..

Kurt, plenty of room for overseas guests. Not least in the garage!

A Senior Consultant amounts basically to the highest clinical position for a doctor in Sweden. I get to be the smart ass bastard with a lot less on the regular work schedule, who the younger colleagues may ask difficult questions if they are nice and donīt bother me too much. I will be granted more time to focus on my specialties - immunology with the immune incompetent kids as well as asthma and allergy. If I am lucky I will be able to cut down somewhat on the night shifts too.

Congrats!

After the first couple paragraphs, I thought it was going to start getting freaky, in a Lewinsky kinda way.
