TV Show Concept – The Mighty Mississippi

I was working with a tug unit on the Mississippi today and got talking to a few of the Pilots about various TV shows such as Survivor and Man vs the Wild. I came up with the idea of a competition on the Mississippi. Here is how it would play out:

Several 2-person teams formed. They start up at the source, Lake Itasca in the Minnesota North Woods, travel through the mid-continental United States, down through to its subtropical Louisiana Delta. The teams are provided with a few essentials to make a log raft to survive and navigate the great river, the gathering of waters, the mighty Mississippi.

Throughout the journey, the teams have to live on the river and off what it can provide. Each raft will have a camera onboard. A boat will follow the teams through their journey. First team to the delta wins.

Of course you would need to have the teams made up of:
1) 2 Lesbian Strippers, gots to be hot
2) 2 Redneck Good ol Boys, these bad boys might not finish but they eat Flatheads they catch with their hands!
3) A Retired Couple - Aged Baby Boomers, plenty of money and looking to bring back the spark.
4) Young Newlyweds, she is high maint, he is all outdoors. She is in it to prove to him she can hang, he is doing it becuase it would be fun.
5) Parent / Child teams - the kids could be in their late teens to early 20's, their parents could be city folk.
