Online videos download, but stop playing???

every time i try to watch a video online (youtube for instance), it stops about half way through and will not play the rest. i can see the whole video has downloaded but it wont play past a certain point. i just installed a wireless router and am using that. would that have anything to do with it? figure this might be a good place to ask.

I`d try wih a different browser to see if it makes a difference.
No problems with opera here.
