linux question: ls -l
 

[root@majka dev]# ls -l /dev/input/mouse*
crw------- 1 root root 13, 32 May 25 15:15 /dev/input/mouse0
crw------- 1 root root 13, 33 May 25 15:15 /dev/input/mouse1
given the above,

what is the minor number.

i am guessing that 13 is the major number.

Linux is Fedora FC4.

You're correct it goes major first then minor.

so is minor 32, and 33 or 0 and 1 as in the mouseX file name?

Depends, it is 18 in most states but I hear it is like 16 in Canada.

If I remember this correctly (have not coded in linux for a while)

13 Major
32 Minor
33 Minor
