Today show is in Cuba?!?

We watch the local news on the NBC affiliate. At 7am, it rolls into the Today show, and is usually turned off. The Today show is broadcasting from Havana. Why on earth would NBC be promoting Cuba?

Who cares. How did the cast/crew get there?

Kinda like the Illegal Alien biz..Who pays attention to laws or policy anymore? Maybe they are there to round up some positive potential immigrant feedback...I Know now....NBC wants to benchmark a real world class economy. Viva Fidel, Che and Raul..... Just wait 20 years. it will the model government for the USSA.

NBC Today

"Quietly, deliberately, and quickly, the travel industry is preparing for Cuba after Castro.

Major U.S. cruise lines won’t publicly admit this, but each has now charted at least seven, and perhaps eight viable Cuban harbors. It stands to reason that the cruise ships will be first in when the travel rules are changed. After all, they are already floating infrastructure/hotels.

. . ."

I'm glad I've gone a couple of times before it gets spoiled. McDonalds's, KFC, Starbuck's, Holiday Inns . . .

Perhaps he is surprised because their going there almost certainly violates federal law.

I'm pretty sure that media passes can be had if they go through the proper process.

It just cracks me up that people romanticize the country that must force it's citizens to stay, that people are willing to risk their lives and the lives of their young children to escape. Must be paradise:rolleyes:

Lift the embargo and stop pandering to the Cuban Mafia in Miami!!!

The embargo hasn't worked, time to try something new.

That is what I have always said. Give them a taste of capitalism, they trample Castro and his cronies(avoided ilk there, did you notice) on their way to the market.
