advice on repairing Saturn plastic body panels??
Is there a recommended epoxy for repairing the plastic body panels on Saturns? I picked up a CHEAP Saturn yesterday as a parts/ beer getter, and there are a couple of spots where a corner has broken off a panel, and was wondering if there was a good way to bond them together so I can then sand, and re-finish. I have all the broken off parts, I just need to get them to hold together.
Ya think JB-weld will work? Thanks for the advice... -Nick

I believe the body panels are SMC molded. I found this website with recommendations for SMC repair products.

Funny, that's what the previous owner though too!
Anybody know what Saturn's secret is to their engines? This thing has over 200k miles, doesn't burn a drop of oil, doesn't leak oil, coolant or transmission fluid! I ran a compression check and leak down test just to check the rings, valves, etc... and it looks awesome. Who'd a thunk it!?!

Buddy of mine hit a gaurd rail in his over the winter.
I seem to recall that entire panels are pretty cheap.

I had one of the first Saturns that came out in the mid 90's. I had a fender that got smashed. I simply used two part epoxy on the backside and literally glued the pieces back together.

Many thanks for all the help guys!
I think I may look into getting a new door skin for the drivers door, but the pass rear quarter I am going to try to epoxy, as the part that is broken off is about 1" x 1.2". I would honestly have to say Saturn makes a decent product! Granted, it's not much to look at, but it has enough cargo space to fit an engine in the trunk, a couple of trannys in the back seat, and a few of cases of beer in the pass. seat... hence why I picked it up as my "go-getter". Thanks again guys! -Nick
