steakhouse owner tells OJ to beat it

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18562630/

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The owner of an upscale steakhouse in Louisville said he asked O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant the night before the Kentucky Derby because he is sickened by the attention Simpson still attracts.

“I didn’t want to serve him because of my convictions of what he’s done to those families,” Jeff Ruby said in a telephone interview Tuesday. “The way he continues to torture the lives of those families ... with his behavior, attitude and conduct.”

“I didn’t want that experience in my restaurant,” Ruby said, later adding that seeing Simpson get so much attention “makes me sick to my stomach.”

He said he went to Simpson’s table and said, “I’m not serving you.” Ruby said when Simpson didn’t respond, he repeated himself and left the room.

OJ Simpson is a bad man.
It wouldn't bother me if OJ never ate another dinner on this planet.

Three cheers for Jeff.

Now, just watch for the claims of racism to suface next.

Just curious, who called the news media and told them about it? Bet it was the owner looking for cheap publicity.

It's already happened. OJ's lawyer is playing the race card.

AND, he kept the Mil advance on his book, 'If I Did It".

Total scumbag. We turn down quotes to fly OJ from time to time. If it wasn't for the TSA name requirement, we would have difficulty recognizing all the wealthy friends of his that are trying to book charter flights for him. He has pretty much been blacklisted from most charter companies. He sometimes flies as a 'guest' of a certain TV personality that has a plane of her own.

For the second time in his life OJ is black.

Yale Galanter, an attorney for OJ Simpson, said that the incident was about race, and said he would pursue the matter by possibly having the restaurant's liquor license revoked. CNN quoted Galanter, who said, "He screwed with the wrong guy, he really did." While the race card has once again been played on OJ Simpson's behalf, Ruby insists the lack of service stems from OJ Simpson's past. "It was the first time since 1994 he has ever shown any class." Ruby added, "He showed it that night in the restaurant," by quietly leaving the steakhouse.

That trial has always disturbed me. Having it on TV was a big mistake. The media at its worst. And the lawyers just played to it. The blood trail and DNA evidence were unmistakable, yet the jury chose to ignore them.

Moving the trial from an upscale section where it occurred to a downtown black area was suspicious. As was a judge whose wife was a LAPD officer directly or indirectly involved in the case. He should have been recused. The prosecution's lawyers didn't seem very strong to me. Marsha whatshername and the black guy who tried the water-shrunk leather glove on Simpson. What was he trying to do.

I have my doubts about the credibility of that trial. The civil trial carried out in his district had no trouble convicting him of wrongdoing based on the evidence.

It was American "justice" at its worst in my lifetime--though there probably has been as bad--especially against blacks. Touche.

Sorry to say, the steakhouse owner may have some trouble with this one. Even if it's thrown out of court, he will have to foot the bill to be represented. I know this is wrong, but I'd settle quietly and hope my insurance will help.

The owner may have to serve up a little crow for himself. Oh, BTW, I've been in the owner's position once. I flew off the handle, called someone a racial name in the course of business and was cited with a CA law stating that businesses cannot discriminate due to race, blah blah. I paid a small sum to the offended even though there were no witnesses to the incident.

I certainly should have not made the mistake to start with and haven't since.

This is about the same as when Hanoi Jane and Ted Turner tried to eat in Montana. The owner of the place told Ted that he was welcome but Hanoi Jane would never eat in a place he owned...

OJ needs to go and swim with the fishes... forever.

Innocent in the Court of Law. Guilty in the Court of Life.

So who were the party of 12 that were going to eat with OJ?
Members of the Jury?

And what would the topic of conversation be, at OJs dinner table?

"Excuse me OJ...could you pass me a knife?"

"How do you like your steak OJ? Blood Rare?"

"I like those shoes OJ...are those Bruno Magli?"

"Seen any good Slasher Movies lately OJ?"

The Juice must have tracked down the killers to Louisville. He was prolly just stopping off for a bite before staging his citizens arrest of the *REAL* killers! After this publicity his cover will surely be blown!

Steakhouse owner wont have to do crap. And knowing him, he'll be about as apologetic to OJ as OJ's been to his victims families.

Racism will be interesting to try to prove as I seriously doubt OJ would have been the only black person in the restaurant at that time, or that entire weekend for that matter. Ruby has a knack for PR and is a bit of a "fuch em if they can't take it" kinda guy. The more OJ's lawyers make of this, the worse Juice will end up looking and the better off Ruby's receipts will be.
