prepping for powdercoating?

Anybody have tips for prepping metal for powdercoating?

I have my bike completely disassembled and I want to powdercoat the frame, forks, engine covers, etc...

Am I going to have to take all these painted pieces down to metal or just scuff them up real good?

They need to be clean, bare metal. Most coaters do the prep, since it has to be done pretty much right beore coating.

Most places prep as part of the operation. Just let the coater do it, they have all the tools and tricks.
