Canada GP (warning potential spoiler)

Whoa! Anyone still doubting this kid is the real deal? Anyone?

While I won't quite say "stick a fork in Kimi, he's done", it's looking more and more that way with each passing week.

Have to agree. Kimi just looks average out there.

What the heck was Massa thinking when he exited the pits under a red? He and Fisi were black-flagged a few laps later, and they were both up in the top four. End of race for them. Done.

What a result!

I'm really pretty impressed that circuit is tough, unlike a lot of modern circuits its rough and bumpy and then with the saftey car periods slowing everything down you lose tyre pressure and a driver really needs to keep a cool head. That was a fantasticaly well deserved win.

Porsche-O-Phile 06-10-2007 01:04 PM

Massa is going to get crucified in the Italian press.

450knotOffice 06-10-2007 01:14 PM

Yup. How about Fisi? I'm guessing Briattore is feeding him to the sharks about now. He does not suffer fools lightly.

Lewis is the man. Looks like a cool dude and a great racer. His life is about to change; big time. Has Nike signed him??

My favorites: Jim Clark, Senna, Schumacher, and now Hamilton.

In a race with so much chaos, he sure kept his cool and charged on!

How about Kubica's shunt? Egad...and evidently got away with only a broken leg.

And good on Wurz. Yesterday he was brutally honest with Windsor on his poor qualifying performance, saying, "the problem was with the driver, not the car." And to finish on the podium from 19th on race day. That's some driving.

Todd, I thought he might have bought the farm after that brutal hit with the inside wall. His car just exploded into a million pieces. When the wreckage stopped, he was obviously unconscious. Scary.

Missed the race and the beginning of the Speed News, so I'm cooked. But, watch this and tell me about the huge differences between these drivers. We sometime talk about some of them being hacks. The only really unqualified driver in recent times was Yoon and he isn't the worst I've seen in top league racing..

kudos to hamilton, i predicted he'd have his first victory within 5 from the spanish gp :D

and kudos to taku, super best friends are getting on their game :)
did anyone else see the crowd go nuts when he passed alonso?

edit:......forgot to add......i am SO happy that fox let our favorite commentators handle their brodcasted race :)

That was one wild race. It seemed like every 30 seconds some event would happen that made us pop our eyes out. Pits, crashes, offs, brushes with the walls etc. just crazy. I am really glad about Kubica, that was very scary to see....

It was another thrilling race! I can't wait until the USGP this coming weekend. I hope it has as much excitement!

Deschodt 06-11-2007 11:53 AM

Kubica's only got a sprained ankle as of the latest news...

I'm also pretty happy for Wurz and Kovalainen, 2 good guys with a sense of humor (rare in F1) that have had a spell of bad luck so far...

Did anyone else notice that Wurz standing on the 2nd step of the podium was as tall as Hamilton standing on the first step ? Pretty funny.... Tall guy !

I think Wurz is about 6'2". I didn't think you could get in an F1 car at 6'2" :).

It seems all the F1 stuff has been pulled off of you tube. So much free publicity.

The 4 side by side vids that I linked to are from a sponsored site, they are still there. The crash is gone and I missed that one, too.

Gotta love the internets, F1 has them pulled and the people respond.

I cannot understand why they would pull this, spectacular free advertising.
