Removing old paint off of stained glass
So I'm pretty handy with stripping wood furniture and the like--but I've never tried to remove old paint from stained glass. We just moved in to a 1920 bungalow with original stained glass windows w/ paint on the glass on the leading as well. I'm thinking a Q-tip and sponge would work with paint srtipper? Thanks in advance.

organic solvents are your friend if the praint is old (i.e., pre-latex)

The lead caning holding the window glass together can react with various cleaners, especially with ammonia or cleaners containing ammonia. Also, some "stained glass" is actually painted with stains that can be removed with acetone or paint remover, wrecking the glass. Use caution and test a small corner first. Also, some of the really old window lead caning may have oxidized over the years and can crumble. Good luck, it is worth it having the bright color come back. Glenn
